Day Out With Thomas

There's a cool little railroad station in a little town about 40 min from here. Every year on Memorial Day weekend they have "Day Out With Thomas". Thomas comes and gives the kids a 25 min train ride and there are all sorts of activities for the kids to do. Other than last year (Kalei was only a few days old) we've gone every year we've been here and the boys LOVED it. Last time the weather was HORRIBLE and we barely lasted an hour, long enough to get in the train ride and attempt a few other activites before we were frozen and gave up. This year the weather was GORGEOUS and the boys had a blast! The took a train ride, met Sir Topham Hatt, watched a magician, miniature golf, listened to stories, played with train table galores and more!
Anxious to board. The boys were giddy with excitment!

All Aboard!!!

Pulling out

Brothers to the end!

Lei wasn't sure what was going on, but she knew it was exciting!

We ususally don't buy food when we're at events/amusment parks but one thing we always spring for is cotton candy. The boys LOVE it!

Kalei's first time trying cotton candy, she may not join the fan club.

Getting Thomas Tattoos, 1 week later and they're STILL there!

The revered pleasure of meeting Sir Topham Hatt

With the beloved Thomas

It was a great day and the boys are already talking about next year. I was just grateful for nice weather because 3 days before it looked like this:

This was only the beginning, not long after this pic you could no longer see the sidewalks/streets. It was a TON of snow and just days before June. Don't know that I'll ever get used to living in Utah. We lost some HUGE branches (which means our well shaded back yard now has a lot of gaps) our melon plants (just grateful the rest of the garden survived) and it still a ???? as to whether we'll get any plumbs or cherries/
